Type catalog: Ferraris & Vari 1992:33 [ref. 19771], Ferraris 2007:182 [ref. 29155]. •Synonym of Cetopsorhamdia molinae Miles 1943 -- (Bockmann & Guazzelli in Reis et al. 2003:411 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:182 [ref. 29155]). •Valid as Cetopsorhamdia shermani Schultz 1944 -- (Burgess 1989:277 [ref. 12860], Urbano-Bonilla et al. 2018:79 [ref. 35773], Faustino-Fuster & Souza 2021:14 [ref. 38725]). Current status: Valid as Cetopsorhamdia shermani Schultz 1944. Heptapteridae: Heptapterinae. Distribution: Guárico River drainage, Orinoco River basin, Venezuela and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
