Current status: Valid as Dolichancistrus cobrensis (Schultz 1944). Loricariidae: Hypostominae. Distribution: Catatumbo River basin in Lake Maracaibo drainage, Colombia and Venezuela and upper Apure in the río Orinoco basin. Habitat: freshwater.
