Current status: Valid as Microdesmus aethiopicus (Chabanaud 1927). Microdesmidae: Microdesminae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Cameroon south to northern Angola, including Bioko (Aequatorial Guinea). Habitat: brackish, marine.
