Lectotype selected by Anderson et al. 2009:179 [ref. 30175]. •Valid as Bothrocara elongatum (Garman 1899) -- (Anderson 1994:116 [ref. 21438], Anderson & Fedorov 2004:10 [ref. 27603], Anderson et al. 2009:177 [ref. 30175]). •Valid as Bentartia elongata (Garman 1899) -- (Balushkin et al. 2011:1026 [ref. 32449]). Current status: Valid as Bentartia elongata (Garman 1899). Zoarcidae: Lycodinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Gulf of Panama to off Chile. Habitat: marine.
