Current status: Valid as Monochirus atlanticus Chabanaud 1940. Soleidae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Spain south to Gabon, including Madeira, Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, and São Tomé and Principe. Habitat: marine.
