Species epithet is an adjective, so corrected to moluccensis when in masculine genus Satyrichthys. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Indonesia east to New Ireland (Papua New Guinea) and Samoa, north to southern Japan, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Habitat: marine.
