Original genus name should have been Cocotropus. •Valid as Ptarmus jubatus (Smith 1935) -- (Poss 1986:480 [ref. 6296], Fricke et al. 2017:3, 8 [ref. 35454], Poss 2022:563 [ref. 39726]). Current status: Valid as Ptarmus jubatus (Smith 1935). Synanceiidae: Aploactininae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) north to southern Mozambique. Habitat: marine.
