Holotype (unique): USNM 41880. On p. 10 of separate. Species epithet is emended to frenata to agree with the feminine gender of genus. Distribution: Northeastern Pacific: southern Oregon (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of southern Baja California Sur (Mexico), including Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
