Distribution: Rivers from Aomori Prefecture to the western part of Yamaguchi Prefecture, Sea of Japan, Ibaraki Prefecture to the eastern part of Yamaguchi Prefecture, Pacific, and Shikoku Island and northern part of Kyushu Island, Japan. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
