Current status: Valid as Zesticelus profundorum (Gilbert 1896). Psychrolutidae: Psychrolutinae. Distribution: North Pacific: northern Kuril islands and Sea of Okhotsk north to southeastern Bering Sea, east to Aleutian Islands (U.S.A.). Habitat: marine.
