Lectotype established (as figured specimen from Albatross sta. 3214) in caption to Pl. 289, p. 3291 in Jordan & Evermann 1900 [ref. 2446]; this is the specimen figured with the original description and is apparently MCZ 28266. Current status: Valid as Triglops forficatus (Gilbert 1896). Psychrolutidae. Distribution: North Pacific: Kuril Islands north to Bering Sea, then east to northwestern Gulf of Alaska; one record from southeastern Alaska (U.S.A.). Habitat: marine.
