Lectotype selected by Leipertz 1985:36 [ref. 5243]. •Valid as Xeneretmus triacanthus (Gilbert 1890) -- (Eschmeyer & Herald 1983:190 [ref. 9277], McAllister 1990:206 [ref. 14674], Kanayama 1991:79 [ref. 19261] with genus as Xenertmus, Sheiko 1993:86 [ref. 21227], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:551 [ref. 25968], Sheiko & Mecklenburg 2004:6 [ref. 27591], Page et al. 2013:126 [ref. 32708], Pietsch & Orr 2015:50 [ref. 34694], Kells et al. 2016:206 [ref. 35888], Burton & Lea 2019:70 [ref. 37205]). Current status: Valid as Xeneretmus triacanthus (Gilbert 1890). Agonidae: Bathyagoninae. Distribution: Northeastern Pacific: northern British Columbia (Canada) south to northern Baja California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
