Also appeared as new in Barnard 1927:821 [ref. 194]. •Valid as Caffrogobius agulhensis (Barnard 1927) -- (Hoese 1986:783 [ref. 5670], Randall 1995:795 [ref. 22357], Goren 1996:5 [ref. 24415], Schliewen 2011:214 [ref. 31738], Parenti 2021:109 [ref. 38603], Larson 2022:58 [ref. 39971]). Current status: Valid as Caffrogobius agulhensis (Barnard 1927). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: Western Cape, eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) north to southern Mozambique. Habitat: marine.
