Holotype or syntypes: RMNH 4524 (1 of several). Appeared without distinguishing features in list in Bleeker 1849:5 [ref. 320]. Spelled cyanosmos by Day 1876:287 [ref. 1081]. •Valid as Aulopareia cyanomos (Bleeker 1849) -- (Larson in Randall & Lim 2000:635 [ref. 25122], Larson & Murdy 2001:3595 [ref. 26293], Manilo & Bogorodsky 2003:S118 [ref. 27377], Larson & Wright 2003:130 [ref. 27481], Kottelat 2013:399 [ref. 32989]). •Valid as Acentrogobius cyanomos (Bleeker 1849) -- (Ataur Rahman 1989:309 [ref. 24860], Talwar & Jhingran 1991:924 [ref. 20764], Kottelat et al. 1993:141 [ref. 23448], Rema Devi 1993:166 [ref. 24020], Ataur Rahman 2003:335 [ref. 31338], Larson et al. 2008:145 [ref. 29532], Shibukawa 2009:259 [ref. 30449], Huang et al. 2014:108 [ref. 33161], Allen 2015:7 [ref. 33699], Allen 2017:108 [ref. 35601]). Current status: Valid as Acentrogobius cyanomos (Bleeker 1849). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific. Habitat: brackish, marine.
