Current status: Valid as Caffrogobius saldanha (Barnard 1927). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southeastern Atlantic, southwestern Indian Ocean: Namibia south to Cape of Good Hope (South Africa), then east to Eastern Cape (South Africa). Habitat: brackish, marine.
