Type catalog: Walschaerts 1987:11 [ref. 20755]. Correct spelling of species probably should have been hutsebauti since species was apparently named for the Belgian Catholic missionary Joseph Hutsebaut, which Giltay spelled Hutsebout (C. Scharpf,15 July 2012); name stands as is. •Valid as Belonophago hutsebouti Giltay 1929 -- (Daget & Gosse:1984 [ref. 6185], Poll & Gosse 1995:151 [ref. 24781], Musschoot 2024:333 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Belonophago hutsebouti Giltay 1929. Distichodontidae. Distribution: Central Africa: Congo River basin. Habitat: freshwater.
