Type catalog: Nijssen et al. 1982:99 [ref. 19236]. •Valid as Oxyurichthys notonema (Weber 1909) -- (Larson & Murdy 2001:3601 [ref. 26293], Allen & Adrim 2003:59 [ref. 26830], Randall 2005:544 [ref. 28239], Allen & Erdmann 2012:984 [ref. 31980], Pezold & Larson 2015:5, 6, 44 [ref. 33894], Larson 2022:166 [ref. 39971]). Current status: Valid as Oxyurichthys notonema (Weber 1909). Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: East Africa (Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya) east to mascarenes (Mauritius); Indonesia, Philippines and Society Islands (French Polynesia). Habitat: marine.
