Holotype (unique): CAS-SU 9249 (same as USNM 53070, not found). Probably two museum numbers were assigned to one specimen. •Valid as "Acentrogobius" ocyurus (Jordan & Seale 1907) -- (Shibukawa in Kimura et al. 2018:255 [ref. 36460]). •Valid as Acentrogobius ocyurus (Jordan & Seale 1907) -- (Kunishima et al. 2022:130 [ref. 39315]). •Valid as Drombus ocyurus (Jordan & Seale 1907) -- (Larson & Williams 1997:368 [ref. 23967], Larson & Murdy 2001:3596 [ref. 26293] dated 1906, Hoese & Larson 2006:1641 [ref. 29097], Larson et al. 2008:148 [ref. 29532], Larson et al. 2013:195 [ref. 32988], Kottelat 2013:406 [ref. 32989], Suzuki et al. 2017:80 [ref. 35202], Parenti 2021:133 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Drombus ocyurus (Jordan & Seale 1907). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Sngapore east to Philippines and Papua New Guinea, north to Ryukyu Islands (Japan), south to Northern Territory and northern Queensland (Australia). Habitat: marine.
