Syntypes: RMNH 10666 (1); SMF 6580-81 (2). Lectotype selected by Larson 2010:179 [ref. 30783]. •Valid as Redigobius penango (Popta 1922) -- (Miesen et al. 2016:94 [ref. 34492], Parenti 2021:352 [ref. 38603], Kobayashi et al. 2024:9 [ref. 41112]). Current status: Valid as Redigobius penango (Popta 1922). Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Sulawesi (Indonesia) [anadromous]. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
