Lectotype: RMNH 4458. Paralectotypes: RMNH (2) whereabouts unknown. Lectotype selected by Larson 2010:184 [ref. 30783] •Valid as Redigobius tambujon (Bleeker 1854) -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:152 [ref. 23448], Larson 2010:179 [ref. 30783], Kottelat 2013:423 [ref. 32989], Fricke et al. 2019:288 [ref. 36673]). Current status: Valid as Redigobius tambujon (Bleeker 1854). Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Andaman Islands east to Palau, New Ireland (Papua New Guinea) and Solomon Islands, north to Philippines, south to northern Australia. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
