Current status: Valid as Eugnathogobius kabilia (Herre 1940). Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: South Asia and Southeast Asia: Andhra Pradesh (India), Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, southern Cambodia, Sarawak (Malaysia) and Philippines. Habitat: freshwater.
