Paratypes: BMNH 1925.10.28.465 (1), 1950.5.15.41 (1). Replacement name for Gobioides unicolor Palmer 1952, preoccupied by Cepola unicolor Gran 1854 when both are placed in Gobioides. •Valid as Gobioides grahamae Palmer & Wheeler 1955 -- (Murdy 1998:126 [ref. 23380], Marín 2000:78 [ref. 26252], Camargo & Isaac 2001:142 [ref. 27639], Murdy & Hoese 2003:1795 [ref. 27111], Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:660 [ref. 27061], Moura et al. in Menezes et al. 2003:99 [ref. 27192], Van Tassell 2011:144 [ref. 31732]). Current status: Valid as Gobioides grahamae Palmer & Wheeler 1955. Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Atlantic coast and river mouths: Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama and Peru. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
