Paratypes: AMNH 9692 (1); BMNH 1930.11.7.2 (1, lost); NHMGZAR 558-569, 622, 761-779, 832-835, 836-839, 905-906, 950-965; UMMZ 156679 (1). •Valid as Beaufortia pingi (Fang 1930) -- (Zheng et al. 1989:257 [ref. 21202], Zhu 1995:135 [ref. 25213], Chen & Tang in Yue 2000:505 [ref. 25272], Kottelat 2012:59 [ref. 32367], Zhang et al. 2016:158 [ref. 34477], Chen et al. 2024:955 [ref. 41305]). Current status: Valid as Beaufortia pingi (Fang 1930). Gastromyzontidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: You River drainage, upper Pearl River basin, western Guangxi, China. Habitat: freshwater.
