Holotype (unique): MMNHN 1544. •Valid as Beaufortia zebroidus (Fang 1930) -- (Zheng et al. 1989:257 [ref. 21202], Chen & Tang in Yue 2000:504 [ref. 25272], Tang & Chen 2000:7 [ref. 25445], Zhang et al. 2016:158 [ref. 34477]). •Valid as Beaufortia zebroida (Fang 1930) -- (Kottelat 2012:59 [ref. 32367], Chen et al. 2024:956 [ref. 41305]). Current status: Valid as Beaufortia zebroida (Fang 1930). Gastromyzontidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: middle and lower Red River drainage and the upper Shuikou River to Zuo River drainages, upper Pearl River basin, China and northeastern Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
