Current status: Valid as Pandaka silvana (Barnard 1943). Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) north to northern Mozambique, east to Seychelles. Habitat: freshwater.
