Paratypes: USNM 20367 (many, destroyed), 40118 (many, lost). •Valid as Liparis atlanticus (Jordan & Evermann 1898) -- (Able & McAllister 1980:13 [ref. 6908], Smith 1986:41 [ref. 22186], Robins & Ray 1986:286 [ref. 23100], Scott & Scott 1988:522 [ref. 25518], McAllister 1990:210 [ref. 14674], Chernova & Busby 2001:433 [ref. 25787], Able in Collette & Klein-MacPhee 2002:369 [ref. 26158], Chernova et al. 2004:21 [ref. 27592], Nelson et al. 2004:124 [ref. 27807], Chernova 2008:840 [ref. 30236], Page et al. 2013:128 [ref. 32708], Afonso et al. 2016:58, 183 [ref. 36199], Mecklenburg et al. 2018:286 [ref. 36370]). Current status: Valid as Liparis atlanticus (Jordan & Evermann 1898). Liparidae. Distribution: Northwestern Atlantic and adjacent Arctic Region. Habitat: marine.
