Holotype (unique): apparently lost. Name was spelled three ways in original: pulchellus, pulchlelus, and pulchellas. Current status: Valid as Liparis pulchellus Ayres 1855. Liparidae. Distribution: Northeastern Pacific: southeastern Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands south to central California (U.S.A.).
