Syntypes: BMNH 1907.12.20.1-2 (2), NRM 9744 (13). •Valid as Rhabdalestes tangensis (Lönnberg 1907) -- (Paugy 1984:182 [ref. 6183], Seegers et al. 2003:36 [ref. 28087], Boden 2024:43 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Rhabdalestes tangensis (Lönnberg 1907). Alestidae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Kenya and Tanzania. Habitat: freshwater.
