P.] 1950:32, Fig. 1 [Proceedings of the Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales v. for 1948-49; ref. 12979] Between Cape Jaubert and Wallal, Western Australia. Holotype: AMS IA.4142. Paratypes: AMS IA.4284 (1). •Synonym of Arnoglossus aspilos (Bleeker 1851), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Larson & Williams 1997:373 [ref. 23967], Hoese & Bray 2006:1812 [ref. 29000]). •Valid as Engyprosopon praeteritus (Whitley 1950) -- (Amaoka & Last 2014:91 [ref. 33582]). Current status: Valid as Engyprosopon praeteritus (Whitley 1950). Bothidae. Distribution: Northern Australia and Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
