Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:64 [ref. 12367], Vari & Howe 1991:33 [ref. 19022]. •Valid as Apareiodon ecuadoriensis (Eigenmann & Henn 1914) -- (Ovchynnyk 1967:32 [ref. 37559]). •Synonym of Saccodon wagneri Kner 1863 -- (Pavanelli in Reis et al. 2003:48 [ref. 27061], Pavanelli & Starnes 2015:202 [ref. 34056]). Current status: Synonym of Saccodon wagneri Kner 1863. Parodontidae. Habitat: freshwater.
