Paratypes: (13) BMNH 1901.12.21.99-106 (8), 1907.3.23.144 (1), 1908.3.23.137-138 (2), 1908.3.23.139-140 (now 2). •Valid as Engyprosopon latifrons (Regan 1908) -- (Dor 1984:268 [ref. 29757], Amaoka et al. 1993:380 [ref. 22091], Goren & Dor 1994:71 [ref. 25356], Li & Wang 1995:204 [ref. 16193], Hensley & Amaoka 2001:3831 [ref. 26311], Manilo & Bogorodsky 2003:S122 [ref. 27377], Hoese & Bray 2006:1819 [ref. 29000], Amaoka et al. 2008:111 [ref. 29584], Voronina et al. 2016:388 [ref. 35064], Golani & Fricke 2018:173 [ref. 36273], Hensley & Amaoka 2022:336 [ref. 40220]). Current status: Valid as Engyprosopon latifrons (Regan 1908). Bothidae. Distribution: Red Sea, Indo-West Pacific: Seychelles, Saya de Malha Bank and Saint Brandon's Shoals (Cargados Carajos) east to Philippines, north to southern China. Habitat: marine.
