Syntypes: BMNH 1903.9.29.3-4 (2). •Valid as Engyprosopon natalense Regan 1920 (often seen as natalensis) -- (Hensley 1986:858 [ref. 5669], Amaoka et al. 1993:380 [ref. 22091], Hensley 2003:836 [ref. 27264], Amaoka et al. 2008:111 [ref. 29584], Fricke et al. 2018:371 [ref. 35805], Hensley & Amaoka 2022:339 [ref. 40220]). Current status: Valid as Engyprosopon natalense Regan 1920. Bothidae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: South Africa to Madagascar. Habitat: marine.
