amblycephalus, Cirrhites Bleeker [P.] 1857:378 [Natuurkundig Tijdschrift voor Nederlandsch Indië v. 13 (no. 2); ref. 358] Sangi [Sangihe], Indonesia. Holotype (unique): RMNH 5841 (very poor condition). •Valid as Paracirrhites amblycephalus (Bleeker 1857) -- (Randall 1963:412 [ref. 3599]). •Probable synonym of Paracirrhites arcatus (Cuvier 1829) -- (Randall 2001:3325 [ref. 26128], Allen & Erdmann 2012:316 [ref. 31980]). Current status: Valid as Paracirrhites amblycephalus (Bleeker 1857). Cirrhitidae. Distribution: Indonesia. Habitat: marine.
