Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:90 [ref. 13621]. •Synonym of Chela laubuca (Hamilton 1822) -- (Bănărescu 1971:16 [ref. 20612], Kottelat 2001:42 [ref. 25780]). •In genus Laubuca -- (Fang et al. 2009:7 [ref. 29983]). •Valid as Laubuka siamensis Fowler 1939 -- (Kulabtong et al. 2012:160 [ref. 32364], Kottelat 2013:119 [ref. 32989], Lalramliana et al. 2017:269 [ref. 35204], Kullander et al. 2018:109 [ref. 35843], Ng et al. 2019:526 [ref. 36606], Taki et al. 2021:73 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Laubuka siamensis Fowler 1939. Danionidae: Danioninae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Malaya (Malaysia), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
