Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:111 [ref. 12291]. Pseudogobiopsis is feminine, therefore correction of the adjective to paludosa. •Valid as Eugnathogobius paludosus (Herre 1940) -- (Larson 2001:70 [ref. 25522]). •Valid as Pseudogobiopsis paludosa (Herre 1940) -- (Larson 2009:163 [ref. 30125] as paludosus, Kottelat 2013:422 [ref. 32989], Larson et al. 2017:180 [ref. 35338] as paludosus, Allen & Larson 2020:40 [ref. 37851] as paludosus, Parenti 2021:346 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Pseudogobiopsis paludosa (Herre 1940). Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra (Indonesia). Habitat: freshwater.
