T.] 1913:471 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 8) v. 12 (no. 71); ref. 3656] Río Condoto, tributary of the Rio San Juan, northwestern Colombia. Syntypes: BMNH 1913.10.1.80-88 (7 of 8). Original genus should have been Cichlasoma. •Valid as Aequidens biseriatus (Regan 1913) -- (Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:607 [ref. 27061]). •Valid as Andinoacara biseriatus (Regan 1913) -- (Musilová et al. 2009:7 [ref. 30201], Musilová et al. 2009:131 [ref. 30601], Schindler & Morgenstern 2010:114 [ref. 31245], Wijkmark et al. 2012:118 [ref. 32299], Musilová et al. 2015:339 [ref. 35426], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:99 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Andinoacara biseriatus (Regan 1913). Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: Atrato, San Juan and Baudó River basins, Pacific coast of Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
