Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:96 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Mystus dibrugarensis (Chaudhuri 1913) -- (Grant 1999:172 [ref. 24293] with question). •Synonym of Mystus montanus (Jerdon 1849) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:567 [ref. 20764], Menon 1999:205 [ref. 24904], Jayaram & Sanyal 2003:82 [ref. 26894], Ferraris 2007:96 [ref. 29155]). •Valid as Mystus dibrugarensis (Chaudhuri 1913) -- (Grant 2006 [ref. 28890], Darshan et al. 2011:2177 [ref. 31641] as cf. dibargarensis, Gurung et al. 2013:4883 [ref. 32969], Darshan et al. 2019:521 [ref. 36873]). Current status: Valid as Mystus dibrugarensis (Chaudhuri 1913). Bagridae. Distribution: Siang River basin, India. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
