dorsonotatus, Nemachilus Kessler [K. F.] 1879:309 [Bulletin de l'Académie Impériale des Sciences de St. Pétersbourg v. 25; ref. 2598] Kungès River, Ili River basin, Kazahkstan, elevation 4000 feet. Lectotype: ZIN 4175. Paralectotypes (3): ZIN 4175a (1). Original genus is correctly Nemacheilus. Also in Kessler 1879:276 [ref. 14266]. Lectotype selected by Prokofiev 2007:10? [Engl. 6] [ref. 28990]. •Synonym of Nemacheilus stoliczkai (Steindachner 1866) -- (Berg 1949:862 [ref. 20661] as Nemachilus). •Synonym of Triplophysa stoliczkai (Steindachner 1866) -- (Wu & Wu 1992:212 [ref. 21205] as stoliczkae, Chen & Zhang in Chen 1998:80 [ref. 23556] as stoliczkae, Prokofiev 2001:194 [ref. 26613]). •Synonym of Triplophysa stoliczkai (Steindachner 1866), but a valid subspecies -- (Prokofiev 2006:257 [ref. 29061], Prokofiev 2007:13? [Engl. 9] [ref. 28990]). •Valid as Triplophysa dorsonotata (Kessler 1879) -- (Kottelat 2012:125 [ref. 32367], Sheraliev et al. 2022:62 [ref. 39759]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa dorsonotata (Kessler 1879). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Central Asia: Ili River basin, Kazakhstan and northwest China. Habitat: freshwater.
