eigenmanni, Pimelodus (Pimelodella) Boulenger [G. A.] 1891:232 [Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London 1891 (pt 2); ref. 17039] Macacos, Brazil [probably Ribeirão dos Macacos, tributary of Rio das Velhas]. Holotype: BMNH 1889.11.14.6 [ex MCZ]. Probably not types: MCZ 7438 (5), 7510 (1) from Macacos and Rio Parahyba. Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:191 [ref. 29155]. Based on Pimelodus buckleyi of Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1890:158 [ref. 12251] but described from one specimen sent by MCZ to BMNH. •Valid as Pimelodella eigenmanni (Boulenger 1891) -- (Burgess 1989:280 [ref. 12860], Le Bail et al. 2000:100 [ref. 24549], Bockmann & Guazzelli in Reis et al. 2003:418 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:191 [ref. 29155], Slobodian et al. 2017:95 [ref. 35643]). Current status: Valid as Pimelodella eigenmanni (Boulenger 1891). Heptapteridae: Rhamdiinae. Distribution: Rio das Velhas basin, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
