Distribution: Red Sea; Indo-West Pacific: Thukela Bank (South Africa), East Africa, Madagascar and western Mascarenes (La Réunion) east to Wallis and Futuna, north to Tosa Bay (Japan), south to New Caledonia and northern Australia. Habitat: marine.
