fronticinctus, Anthias Günther [A.] 1868:226, Pl. 18 [Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London 1868 (pt 2) (art. 4) (for 26 Mar. 1868); ref. 1991] St. Helena Island, South Atlantic (15°58'S, 5°43'W). Lectotype: BMNH 1867.10.8.40. Paralectotypes: BMNH 1867.12.26.16 (1). Type catalog: Anderson 2018:14 [ref. 36146]. Described in the genus Anthias but then Günther stated that this species may be regarded as the type of a distinct generic division (Holanthias), distinguished from Anthias by its convex caudal fin; this seems to be covered by Art. 11.9.3.6 (and 15.1 and 51.3.3), and the original genus should be regarded as Anthias. Lectotype selected by Anderson & Heemstra 2012:90 [ref. 31956]. •Valid as Holanthias fronticinctus (Günther 1868) -- (Edwards & Glass 1987:636 [ref. 9166], Maugé 1990:708 [ref. 17126], Evseenko 1996:727 [ref. 24666] as fronticinetus, Anderson 2006:415 [ref. 28870], Motomura et al. 2010:114 [ref. 31256], Anderson & Heemstra 2012:89 [ref. 31956], Wirtz et al. 2014:6 [ref. 33516], Heemstra & Anderson in Carpenter & De Angelis 2016:2395 [ref. 34618], Anderson 2018:14 [ref. 36146], Brown et al. 2019:177 [ref. 36444], Parenti & Randall 2020:14 [ref. 37354]). Current status: Valid as Holanthias fronticinctus (Günther 1868). Anthiadidae.
