Current status: Valid as Lutjanus fulgens (Valenciennes 1830). Lutjanidae: Lutjaninae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Senegal south to Angola, including Cape Verde Islands, Bioko (Equatorial Guinea), and São Tomé and Principe. Habitat: marine.
