Appeared as Nematonurus lecontei [main heading] in Dollo 1904:44, Pl. 7 [ref. 1135]; also in Dollo 1909 [ref. 17406] as lecointei. •Valid as Coryphaenoides lecointei (Dollo 1900) -- (Iwamoto 1990:199 [ref. 21688], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:201 [ref. 18936], Miller 1993:573 [ref. 21297], Iwamoto et al. 2004:202 [ref. 27643]). Current status: Valid as Coryphaenoides lecointei (Dollo 1900). Macrouridae. Distribution: Antarctic. Habitat: marine.
