lucidus, Culter Dybowski [B. N.] 1872:214 [Verhandlungen der K.-K. zoologisch-botanischen Gesellschaft in Wien v. 22; ref. 1170] Lake Khanka, southeastern Russia. Lectotype: ZMB 7935 (largest). Paralectotypes: ZMB 7935 (1, smallest of 2). Lectotype selected by Bănărescu 1968:526 [ref. 20603]. •Synonym of Hemiculter bleekeri Warpachowski 1887, but a valid subspecies -- (Yih & Wu 1964:88 [ref. 13499], Zhu 1995:40 [ref. 25213]). •Synonym of Hemiculter leucisculus (Basilewsky 1855), but a valid subspecies -- (Berg 1949:809 [ref. 20661]). •Valid as Hemiculter lucidus (Dybowski 1872) [sometimes as subspecies lucidus] -- (Bogutskaya & Naseka 1996:26 [ref. 22798], Reshetnikov et al. 1997:738 [ref. 24702], Naseka 1998:76 [ref. 23590], Luo & Chen in Chen et al. 1998:169 [ref. 23878], Bogutskaya et al. 2001:43 [ref. 26178], Bogutskaya & Naseka 2004:58 [ref. 28183], Bogutskaya et al. 2008:319 [ref. 30085], Zhang et al. 2016:60 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Valid as Hemiculter lucidus (Dybowski 1872). Xenocyprididae. Distribution: Russia and China. Habitat: freshwater.
