Holotype: RMNH 25329. Paratypes: RMNH 25330 (1), ZMA 104640 (1). Type catalog: Nijssen et al. 1982:48-49 [ref. 19236], Ferraris 2007:121 [ref. 29155] •Valid as Corydoras oxyrhynchus Nijssen & Isbrücker 1967 -- (Nijssen & Isbrücker 1980:217 [ref. 6910], Burgess 1989:366 [ref. 12860], Isbrücker 1999:40 [ref. 24040], Isbrücker 2001:232 [ref. 26805], Reis in Reis et al. 2003:301 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:121 [ref. 29155], Taphorn et al. 2022:45 [ref. 41297], Dias et al. 2024:23 [ref. 41219]). Current status: Valid as Corydoras oxyrhynchus Nijssen & Isbrücker 1967. Callichthyidae: Corydoradinae. Distribution: South America: Saramacca River drainage, Irang River drainage (Guyana and Suriname). Habitat: freshwater.
