Syntypes: (15) ?NMV 46253 (1), RMNH 8501 (11), SMNS 10587 (2). Type catalog: Fricke 2005:30 [ref. 29864]. Type information as given by Fricke 1991:12 [ref. 13474] apparently is in error, transposed with Plagusia marmorata Bleeker. •Synonym of Paraplagusia bilineata (Bloch 1787) -- (Dor 1984:273 [ref. 29757], Desoutter 1986:433 [ref. 6212], Talwar & Jhingran 1991:1044 [ref. 20764], Munroe 2001:3901 [ref. 26314], Hoese & Bray 2006:1856 [ref. 29000], Kottelat 2013:468 [ref. 32989], Fricke et al. 2018:374 [ref. 35805], Fricke et al. 2023:22 [ref. 40708]). Current status: Synonym of Paraplagusia bilineata (Bloch 1787). Cynoglossidae: Cynoglossinae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
