Current status: Valid as Austroglossus microlepis (Bleeker 1863). Soleidae. Distribution: Southeastern Atlantic, western Indian Ocean: northern Namibia south to Cape of Good Hope (South Africa), then east to False Bay (South Africa). Habitat: marine.
