Paralectotypes: BMNH 1889.11.12.64-65 (2). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:104 [ref. 29155]. Lectotype selected by Ng & Lim 2005:14 [ref. 28081]. Original genus should have been Leiocassis. •Valid as Leiocassis moeschii Boulenger 1890 -- (Burgess 1989:70 [ref. 12860], Kottelat et al. 1993:64 [ref. 23448]). •Valid as Pseudomystus moeschii (Boulenger 1890) -- (Mo 1991:140 [ref. 19952], Ng & Rachmatika 1999:177 [ref. 23964], Ng & Lim 2005:2 [ref. 28081], Kim & Ng 2008:46 [ref. 29456], Kottelat 2013:265 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Pseudomystus moeschii (Boulenger 1890). Bagridae. Distribution: Sumatra, Indonesia. Habitat: freshwater.
