Current status: Valid as Pseudogobius poicilosoma (Bleeker 1849). Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Indo-Western Pacific: Indonesia east to Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan and southern Japan. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
