Steindachner 1908:31 [ref. 4243] indicated that the name should have been calmoni, but this is an unjustified emendation, but Pereira & Reis 2002:100 [ref. 26071] suggest using the spelling calmoni. Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae. Distribution: South America: Cubatão, Tubarão and Araranguá River basins, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
